NEW DELHI : The chilly weather conditions prevailing in the national Capital for the past few weeks continued today affecting schedules of flights and trains.
Though there was a rise in minimum temperature in Delhi, from yesterday’s 4.2 degree Celsius to 7.5 degree Celsius , cold winds lent a chill in the air. Dense fog in the morning plummeted visibility levels to 100 m at 0830 hrs , affecting schedules of flights and trains.
According to a Northern Railway spokesperson, a total of 18 trains were cancelled, 20 trains were delayed and seven were rescheduled.
The foggy conditions are likely to persist with weather officials forecasting moderate to dense fog in many areas with very dense fog in some areas.
The maximum is likely to be 17 degrees. (AGENCIES)
