JAMMU, Sept 8 : Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today said that the children are the future of India and they need to be groomed properly.
Speaker said this during a function organized by the Rotary Club Jammu Tawi and Inner Wheel Club Jammu to celebrate International Literacy Day here today.
Stressing on making India an educated nation, Kavinder Gupta said that it very important to make the right to education a reality on ground where its outreach is to one and all. He said that the Government is committed to provide quality education to all for which several initiatives have already been taken up.
Speaker further said that teachers are a role model for their students who as a beacon of light guide and motivate students throughout their academic life and provide them with life skills.
He urged the teacher fraternity to put their best efforts in imparting quality education to children and make them capable of competing in today’s world of competition.
He appreciated the efforts of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi and Inner Wheel Club Jammu for rendering their services to the society especially to needy persons. He also urged them to carry forward their mission of helping people to make them happy. Kavinder Gupta also appealed the people to come forward and to contribute towards education of needy children .
Kavinder Gupta felicitated the girl students and teachers associated with “Concept Classes”, a novel concept of special coaching classes initiated by the District Task Force, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Jammu.
Deputy Commissioner, Simrandeep Singh, who was the guest of honor, informed the Speaker that “Concept Classes” was inaugurated by Chief Minister for class 10th girls of Government schools to lay greater and qualitative emphasis on their academic needs for which experienced teachers were engaged.
The classes in various subjects have commenced from the month of July 2016 and ends by the final board exam involve regular evaluation and Life Skill Training Session to make girls confident to achieve success in their future endeavours.
