Chib, Rajni Bala take stock of people’s issues in Roop Nagar

JAMMU, Mar 13: Hari Singh Chib, president, District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural along with Rajni Bala, Corporator Ward No. 60 conducted a visit of Upper Roopnagar Sectors 6 and 7 here today to take stock of issues and problems of the people living in these areas besides inspecting the pace of ongoing black topping of roads and lanes in the area.
During the visit the Congress leaders were accompanied by the president Roopnagar Welfare Committee, Uttam Chand and other prominent persons of Roopnagar.
While speaking on the occasion Chib raised serious concern over inflation, unemployment, increasing rate of essential commodities, etc which is totally out of control of the Union Govt due to its anti-people policies. He said that it is because of the wrong policies of the BJP Government that people continue to suffer amid the ongoing pandemic with new woes getting added to their miseries with each passing day. He sought people’s support in further strengthening the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir.
Corporator Rajni Bala said that there is a blatant discrimination of administration against the people of this ward in terms of development. Therefore I stand determined to ensure its full development on my own, she added. She asserted, “I shall see that all the works including those of lanes, drains and roads in the area get completed in a phased manner as these have immensely added to the woes of the people who are already facing difficulties due to the ongoing pandemic.”
She asserted that special care will be taken in the execution of different works across the ward and all other roads in the area will be upgraded in a phased manner.
Both the Congress leaders also interacted with the people of the area and listened to their issues pertaining to irregular water supply and poor condition of lanes and drains in their area.
