JAMMU, Mar 13: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Anita Sharma along with Ashwani Sharma, Ex-District vice president BJP here today started lane-drain and tile work at Malhotra Street in Ward 11.
The work will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3 lakh and the lane-drain was in dilapidated condition due to which the locals and the passersby were facing a lot of problems while passing through the lane.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor asked the people of her Ward to come forward and cooperate with JMC in development works undertaken in Jammu city.
She urged them to avoid using single used plastic and polythene in routine work and don’t throw debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
Anita Sharma stressed the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Locals of the area including Seema Sharma, Vidhya Devi, Pandit Ram Chand, Rohit, Natesh, Pawan, Ajay Sharma, Dr. Om Arora and others were present on the occasion.
