Chib condemns unprovoked Pak firing on civilians

JAMMU, Oct 25: Former minister and senior Congress leader RS Chib today condemned the unprovoked firing by Pakistani troops on the innocent civilians along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in which two BSF jawans were martyred and civilians lost their lives.
In a press statement issued here today, Chib expressed shock over the killing of civilians and a large number of cattle and said that public property has immensely been damaged in  motor shelling. While paying homage to the martyred soldiers  and also to the civilians, Chib described this action of Pakistan army as most shameful and cowardly act.  He said the people have suffered massive losses in R S Pura, Pargwal and Hiranagar sub sectors.
Chib, who had extensive visit of the border belt of R S Pura today,  also spoke to the affected villagers. He appreciated the role of security forces deployed along the borders and giving befitting reply to the Pakistani troops.  He said the morale of the people along border is very high  and the BSF is plying a significant role in that. Chib demanded adequate amount of compensation for the loss of lives, property  and the live stock.
