Sir,
Refers news item ‘BJP neglected Chenani-Latti belt : Vikramaditya’ published in DE sometime back.
Congress candidate from Udhampur constituency Vikramaditya has said that the area of Chenani-Latti belt was neglected by BJP over last 5 years of their rule in respect of tourism, education , healthcare facilities, and basic facilities like potable water, electricity and roads infrastructure etc. By this statement does he intend to say that previous Congress and their allied party Govts have laid water pipelines in all villages, connected all villages with electricity and provided very good hospitals and schools all over the said area. And in last 5 years, BJP dismantled all these facilities and mismanaged with hospitals and schools.
Regarding tourism, he should be asked by people as to what all had been done by previous Congress and their allied parties in this area or for that matter in other parts of Jammu region, (leaving aside the areas linked with religious shrines of Mata Vaishnodevi and Shivkhodi, which were developed under SMVD trust started by the then Governor Jagmohan). Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Bani-Basohli areas which have lot of tourism potential, but were neglected by them all those years of their rule.
