Charri Mubarak Yatra to leave on Oct 6: Sena

JAMMU, Sept 21: The 39th holy Charri Yatra by Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K unit will leave for Katra on October 6 to perform Charri Puja at the holy cave shrine on first Navratra on October 7 inside holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji.
This was started by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni in a press conference here today.
He said that Shiv Sena will organize a programme in this connection on October 6 at Maharaja Hari Singh Park after which Shiv Sainiks and devotees will carry holy Charri Mubarak and Akhand Jyoti in form of Shoba Yatra amid drum beats from Parade Ground and after passing through different places in the city it will finally leave for Katra.
He said, on first Navratra the traditional worship as per rituals shall be performed.
“Many senior Shiv Sena leaders and devotees from Punjab, Maharashtra, Himachal, Haryana, UP and Gujarat will also participate in the Yatra amid strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.
He appealed all to participate in the Yatra to seek blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi.
Shiv Sena Women Wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; chairman, Rakesh Gupta; vice president, Sanjeev Kohli, Vikas Diwan, Balwant Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
