JAMMU, July 6: Chandi Mahayagya and recital of Bhagwad Katha is being organized at Shri Rajmata Ji Ashram, near Bhoomika Mandir, Katra from July 9 to 17 for seeking an end to the monster of terrorism as also ushering in an era of world peace and prosperity of the country.
The entire program is being held under the supervision of Swami Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj, Peethadheeshwar of Rajmata Jhande Wala Mandir, Delhi, Jammu, Haridwar and Katra, Brahmleen Shri Shri 108 Raj Mata Ji Maharaj.
Giving details to the media-persons Swami Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj said that there has always been significant importance op Yagyas in our life since time immemorial and these find mention in Vedic and Pouranik Kathas. He added that at a time when there was terror of Ravan all around, Bhagwan Shri Ram and Lakshman had performed Yagya in order to bring an end of Tarhka and Subahu.
Swami Rajeshwaranand said the entire world has been affected by natural calamities and imbalance created thereof and Yagyas play an important role to maintain a balance, which stand proven even by the scientists today.
He stated that preparation for the Mahayagya was started on June 9 with the flag hoisting and preparation of Yagyashala the work on which would be completed by July 9.
On July 9 a Shobha Yatra will start from Shri Raghunath Mandir and pass through Katra Main Bazaar Chowk to Udhampur and reach Boomika Mandir from where the ladies will fill the Kalash for Yagya. The CEO of Shrine Board, Ajit Sahu, will light the traditional lamp to give green signal to Shobha Yatra.
On July 10 at 9 am, Acharya Shri Bhagwan Krishan Shastri will lead the learned Pandits and Acharyas to start Mahayagya, which would be continued affairs for 170 hours till Puranahuti. In the afternoon the same day at 3 pm, Ashsh Ji Maharaj of Kanpur (UP) will give sermons which would remain a daily affair till July 17 the closing day when Gurupuja Mahotsav will be celebrated. Bhandara will also be a daily affair.
