Chandel demands inter-state bus services

JAMMU, Nov 9: National Chairman of National Balmiki Sena, Raju Chandel on Sunday demanded resumption of interstate bus service in J&K.
In a handout, Chandel said that all the businesses were affected due to COVID-19 pandemic but as part of unlock most of the States have resumed inter-state bus operations.
“Resumption of inter-state bus services is yet to be done in J&K due to which commuters are facing several problems,” he said adding that people traveling from J&K to Delhi, Punjab or other neighbouring States are facing problems.
Chandel also said that government buses in J&K are only allowed upto Lakahnpur from where travellers have to walk to enter Punjab to board another bus from there to complete the journey.
