Chana prices fall on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 13:  Chana prices fell 0.06 per cent to Rs 3,205 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amidst a fall in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in December declined by Rs 2, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 3,205 per quintal with an open interest of 67,440 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in November traded lower by Re 1, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 3,216 per quintal in 60,440 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amid subdued demand at spot markets mainly put pressure on chana prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
