Chamber delegation calls on PCIT

JAMMU, Mar 22: The office bearers of Chamber of Commerce and Industry today called on Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K Circle, Sangeeta Gupta and conveyed concern over recent surveys conducted in Jammu.
The Chamber President Rakesh Gupta told the Principal Commissioner Income Tax that the business people of Jammu are  paying taxes honestly.
“We do not expect the Income Tax Department to visit the premises of various business houses which creates an atmosphere of panic and mental harassment for the assesses”, he said.
The Principal Commissioner Income Tax assured the Chamber team that no good tax payer will be harassed and in case the department feels that they are unable to get response to their notices they shall convey the same to the Chamber for cooperation.
President of Chamber was accompanied by Rajesh Gupta, Senior Vice President, Rajeev Gupta, Junior Vice President, Manish Gupta, Secretary General, Gaurav Gupta, Secretary and Ashu Gupta, Treasurer.
