In a statement issued here, today he said the separatists operating at the instance of cross border terror, were being placated by the contenders.
“When one sows the seeds of poison and hatred, he should not expect that this would grow virtues and deliver goods”, Prof. Gupta, said . He stressed the need for refraining from playing the politics over human blood.
He emphasized that law enforcing agencies as also the Election Commission should scrutinize the utterances of politicians who preached communal hatred by stating that particular religion is in danger and US should intervene for sorting out problems of Kashmir ignoring the fact that J&K is an integral part of India and none has the right to change this position envisaged in the Constitution under which the elections are being held, and ironically Kashmir is still being termed as “dispute”. What a politics of hypocrisy is this, he added.
Prof. Gupta stressed for review of the policies about this State and calling spate a spate to give clear message to all concerned that enough is enough. The law of land should prevail, otherwise democracy and unity of the country would be endangered, he warned.
