JAMMU, May 10: Raj Kumar Chalotra has been elected as the new president and Joiginder Paul as general secretary of the Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha.
A spokesman of the Sabha in a release issued today said that a meeting of the Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha Jammu was held at Vishwakarma Sabha Hall here under the chairmanship of Rattan Lal Chargotra, Chairman of the Sabha.
During the meeting, Ravi Kant Verma, general secretary Kathua Unit, proposed the name of Raj Kumar Chalotra for the post of president of the Pradesh Sabha. The proposal was seconded by Krishan Sabarbal, president of RS Pura unit. All the presidents and representatives of different units present in the meeting extended their unanimous support to the proposal.
Finally, the working president of the Sabha, Shashi Verma officially announced the name of Raj Kumar Chalotra as the unanimously elected president of Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha, Jammu.
Joginder Paul was unanimously appointed as general secretary during the meeting.
The Sabha members expressed confidence that under the leadership of Raj Kumar Chalotra, and Joginder Paul, the organization will continue to work for the welfare, unity, and upliftment of the Vishwakarma community.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included – Rakesh Chalotra, Kartar Nath, Prem Nath, Vijay Kumar, Janak Raj, Parshotam Kumar, Darshan Singh and Ravi Verma.
The Election Committee included- Amarjeet- Chairman, Baldev, Kuldeep, Parshotam, Adv Ashwani Angotra, Rajinder and Subhash.
