SRINAGAR, Oct 1: Vigilance Organization Kashmir produced Challan against the Patwari, Halqa Nandpora Hawal, Srinagar, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe for preparing Revenue extract.
The challan in case FIR No 17/2013, was produced before the Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Kashmir, Srinagar, against accused public servant namely Tariq Ahmad Mir of Kijpara, Kangan, Ganderbal, then Patwari Halqa Nandpora Hawal Srinagar.
The accused was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 4000 on July 25, 2013 from the complainant Hakeem Muzammil, who alleged that the said Patwari was demanding bribe of Rs 5000 for issuing Revenue extract of the land of his forefathers (inherited ) under Khasra No’s /Survey Nos 7447/34, 4778/34,30 etc. (estate Nandpora), which was currently under process for acquisition for one of the project of the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority called ” Sewerage Trunk Line Cum Road”.
The investigation of the case was concluded as proved and after accord of Government Sanction for launching prosecution against the accused Patwari, the challan of the case was produced before Yashpal Bourney, Judge of Special Court Anti-corruption Kashmir, Srinagar.
At the time of production of the challan, the accused was present in the court and was released on bail. The next date of hearing of the case has been fixed on 19.10.2015.
