Chairman for close synergy between PRIs, officers to achieve desired results

RAJOURI, Dec 23: Chairman District Development Council Naseem Liyaqat today called for close synergy between PRIs and officers to achieve desired results under Government schemes and timely completion of projects.
He was speaking at the second meeting of the District Development Council to review achievements of the administration in the implementation of the district plan, central and UT schemes.
The meeting discussed the performance of different departments under District plan (Capex), PMAY-G, PMAY-U, SBM, NRLM, JJM, BADP, MGNREGA, E Shram registration, MID Day Meal, PMMSY, PMGKAY, SAMAGRA, ICDS, CRF, B2V, 14 FC, SEHAT, IWMP, PM KISAN, KCC, Soil Health Card, Poshan Abhiyan, PMAGY, SMAS, social security schemes and other welfare programmes being implemented in the district was held threadbare in the meeting.
A wide range of issues including macadamization of roads, up-gradation of schools, better health care services, paucity of staff in Govt institutions, repairing of old hand pumps besides other related issues were also discussed threadbare in the meeting.
Addressing the officers and PRIs in the meeting, the Chairman stressed upon them to work in close coordination and with added zeal and make dedicated efforts to take the district to new heights of development and better outcomes on the ground.
Directing the officers for proper implementation of Govt schemes, he asked them to redouble their efforts and strive for saturation of all Central and UT level social security and welfare schemes, adding that these schemes are launched with the purpose to improve the socio-economic condition of the people.
He also asked the concerned officers to speed up the tendering of the works approved under District Capex Budget 2021-22 for early execution and timeline completion.
Chairman also directed the ExEns to maintain quality while executing the work on the developmental projects for the longevity of the projects.
He also directed the officers and PRIs to educate the masses about various schemes and programs being implemented in the district for the welfare of the general public and also make sure that the benefits of the Welfare initiatives reach out to the last beneficiary of the district.
