JAMMU, Sept 28: Two unidentified miscreants riding on a motorbike today overpowered a woman and snatched her gold chain in Nanak Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
The victim has been identified as Pooja Devi, wife of Vinay Sharma, a resident of Nanak Nagar.
Reports said that Pooja Devi, runs a shop at Nanak Nagar and was heading towards it this morning at around 8 am, when two unidentified youth snatched gold chain from her neck.
After snatching, the duo managed to escape from the spot riding a motorcycle without any resistance as there was no police presence in the area.
Later, she lodged a complaint with the Gandhi Nagar police station.
Police parties rushed to the spot but failed to trace the culprits. No arrest has been made so far when the reports last came in.
