Chain hunger strike by ETT stakeholders enters 5th day

JAMMU, Mar 8: The ongoing chain hunger strike by the ETT stakeholders entered into 5th day today.
The protesters are demanding registration of admitted students for the session 2011-13 and early holding of their exams.
Today on 5th day of the dharna, which is being observed under the banner of Joint Action Committee of ETT College in the premises of J&K Board of School Education at Rehari, the protesters raised slogans in support of their demands.
While addressing the dharna, the speakers lashed out at the BOSE officers for misrepresenting fact before the higher authorities and thus delaying decision over the fate of hundreds of students.
The protest dharna was addressed by Pitamber Singh, Deep Singh, Manish Pathania, Rakesh and others.
Dr Hari Dutt Shishu announced that if their issue is not resolved, the ETT stakeholders would have no choice other than to further intensify their stir. Announcing  to gherao  the State Assembly on March 12, he welcomed the  removal of BOSE Chairman Bashir Ahmed, Secretary Renu Goswami and Joint Secretary Javaid Iqbal Khatib, who were called back to the parent Higher Education Department today. He hoped that the new Chairman would give a sympathetic view to the demand of ETT stakeholders.
