JAMMU, Sept 17: In a general body meeting of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) held today here at Jammu, the members of the Trust unanimously elected Ch Abdul Hamid, a renowned young entrepreneur and a prominent social worker, as new chairman of the Trust.
While as, Ch Mohammed Hanief Chouhan, a former KAS officer, who has served the State in various capacities, was elected as senior vice chairman, besides chairman and senior vice chairman, Nighat Sultana, presently working as District & Sessions Judge, has been entrusted the responsibility of vice-chairperson.
Ch Bashir Ahmed Noon and Ch Mohd Yousuf Khepar have been assigned the role of general secretary and treasurer, respectively. Ch Salam-Ud-Din Bajad has been given the responsibility of secretary of the Trust.
Masud A Choudhary, patron-in-chief of the Trust, presided over the meeting. While speaking on the occasion, he said that the outgoing team headed by Ch Ali Hussain Hakla took the Trust to new heights during its tenure of three years.
The former chairmen of the Trust, Ch Bashir Ahmed Bania, Haji Allah Rahim, Master Hashim Ali and Ch Ahsan Ullah also spoke on the occasion.
