JAMMU, June 16: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader and former PCC (I) chief Choudhary Mohammad Aslam passed away tonight at his ancestral village at Lassana in Surankote town of Poonch district.
Choudhary Aslam, who had held various important assignments, had also been a former Minister and Member Parliament and was presently representing Surankote Assembly segment.
He was 70.
Choudhary Aslam was ailing for the past quite some time and used to miss the Assembly and party functions.
The burial was likely to take place tomorrow at his ancestral village.
