SRINAGAR, Jan 19: Ravi Kumar Kaul, CGM, BSNL, Jammu and Kashmir Circle and Tata Teleservices Limited (TTL) today announced a process to facilitate the migration of TTL’s CDMA customers in the State to BSNL.
In a statement, a spokesman of BSNL said that TTL has a subscriber base of 1.03 lakh on their CDMA network in the State. TTL and BSNL have reached an agreement to facilitate migration of certain models of handsets and data cards of TTL’s CDMA customers for use on BSNL’s CDMA network in the circle if they are so interested.
The spokesman said that under this agreement, upon request from TTL customer, help will be provided to make customer device suitable for migration through a software upgrade. He said BSNL has already taken up the expansion of CDMA network with focus on high speed data services in the state keeping in view the anticipated load of new customers/ migrated customers through MNP.
