JAMMU, Dec. 28 : Christian Fellowship Trust (CFT) Jammu conducting all communities get together at St. Peters’ Church, Prem Nagar, here in which religious and social leaders from all communities participated and celebrated the Christmas and New Year Milan with great joy and happiness.
Justice (retd) Bilal Nazki, Chairman of J&K State Human Rights Commission(SHRC) was the chief guest, Vijay Bakaya former Chief Secretary of the State presided over the function whereas Fr. Kuriakose president of Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu, Chander Mohan Sharma Member J&K State Human Rights Commission, Pankaj Mangotra Commissioner Jammu Municipality, Amritpal Singh SP City North Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Director Social Welfare Department and SP Verma were the guests of honor.
Others who were present on the occasion were Avtar Singh Member District SGPC, Fr. Jose V.G. Diocese of J&K, Fr. Shajju Chakoo, Sr. Swati Principal Carmel Convent School, Sr. Saphalya, Principal St.Peters’ Nursery School, Ranjeet Kalra Advisor to Lakshadweep Government, Adv. Veenu Gupta, Rev. Udhay Singh, Pastor Prince, Pastor Anthony, Pastor Vinod, SM Gill Ex MLC, Johnson Gill, Thomas Khokher, Nicodemus, Festus Sotra, Asif Gill, David Mattoo, Nasir Wazir, Rohit George and Rajesh Gill chief prosecuting officer Coordinator of the event.
The function started with the mesmerizing prayer dance by the students of Carmel Convent School and followed by cutting of Christmas cake by the chief guest and other dignitaries. The chief guest while speaking on the occasion greeted and appreciated the Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu for conducting such a program by inviting all religious and social leaders from different communities. He further said that this type of program is the need of hour and we all must share joy and happiness together throughout the year by celebrating all festival together.
Vijay Bakaya who presided over the function said that today we are going very fast and achieving big success in technology but we left behind the real human values which create disturbance and frustration among people and to control these things we must read and follow the path of any religious saints in a real sense.
Fr. Kuriakose president of the Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu on the occasion said that love, joy and peace are the main ingredients of a wonderful Christmas.
Earlier Fr. Shajju Chakoo presented welcome address. Victor Sotra member of the Christian Fellowship Trust conducted the proceedings whereas Justina Victor presented vote of thanks.
