JAMMU, Sept 3: A delegation of Christian Fellowship Trust (CFT), led by its Chairman Fr Kuriakose, called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu, here today to discuss the recent disruptions at Christian places of worship in the J&K Union Territory, especially in Jammu region.
During the meeting, the CFT delegation apprised Divisional Commissioner Romesh Kumar about the continuing growing attacks on Christian’s community and their holy places in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Fr Kuriakose expressed his concern over rising violence against Christians in various parts of the Jammu region. He urged for security and protection of Christian community, especially in their places of worship. He also appealed Div Com to investigate people who take law into their hands.
Romesh Kumar assured the delegation that no one would be allowed to stand above the law. Those who were part of the delegation, included Michael Wazir, Asif Gill, E Peter and David Mattoo.
