JAMMU, Feb 11: Chief Education Officer, Jammu, J K Sudan convened a meeting with Principals, Zonal Education Officers and Headmasters today to take stock of the functioning of educational institutions.
Deputy Chief Education Officer, S S Rathore was also present.
Interacting with the officers, CEO stressed upon maintaining regularity and punctuality in all educational institutions. He said that heads of institutions should maintain all records properly and provide accurate information as and when required. The ZEOs being the Nodal Officers of the respective zones should have information of schools falling in their zones readily available. He emphasized on cleanliness of the schools and said the onus of overall development lies on the shoulders of head of that institution.
CEO asked the officers to adopt and introduce latest teaching methods and new techniques besides encouraging co-curricular activities in schools as the students hailing from economically weaker backgrounds have the right to be exposed to new methodologies.
He assured complete support to all the heads of educational institutions and impressed upon them to gear up their staff in providing the best to the students.
