JAMMU, May 31: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to waive the mandatory “cooling-off” period for central deputation in respect of 2003 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer Vidhi Kumar Birdi, who is currently posted as IGP Kashmir.
As per an order, the approval was granted in relaxation of the IPS tenure policy following a proposal moved by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The order, issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), clears the way for his central deputation without the usual waiting period prescribed under the policy.
