JAMMU, Apr 10: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC) in a meeting at New Delhi today strongly reacted against the weak policy of Central Government on Kashmir as well as ignoring basic rights and genuine demands of Kashmiri Pandits in exile from the last 29 years.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC, while addressing his activists and supporters at New Delhi, has said that pusillanimous and weak Kashmir policy of Central Government has further aggravated the situation in the Valley and also succumbing under the propaganda and violence unleashed by handful separatists, pseudo–secularists and pro–Pak agents in the valley has questioned the will and determination of the Central Government.
This attitude of the Government at the Centre has anguished and demoralized the nationalist forces of the country in general and Kashmiri Pandits in particular.
While rejecting any out of box decision for so–called Kashmir issue which will take Kashmir away from India or weaken the writ of Indian nation over Kashmir, Kashmiri stated that Kashmir belongs to all Kashmiris in-particular Kashmiri Pandits who are aborigines of the Valley having a history of over five thousand years and any decision on Kashmir has direct bearing on the community.
He further stated that the Army, security forces and Kashmiri Pandits in particular have given lot of sacrifices to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation, so weakening the writ and Constitutional authority over Kashmir is not acceptable to all nationalist forces, in particular Kashmiri Pandit community. He further said that on one hand Central Government is appeasing and healing the one particular section of the Valley who are engaged in anti–national activities and at the other it is ignoring nationalist section of the people who are on cross roads from the last 29 years, rendered homeless, worst sufferers of pan–Islamic terrorism and religious apartheid in J&K State.
He further questioned politicians at the helm of affairs in the State and the Center that how long Kashmiri Pandits have to live as refugees in their own country and when they will be rehabilitated separately and consolidated at the ” land of Kashyap” with writ of Indian Constitution.
Kashmiri appealed Prime Minister to listen the vows and demands of Kashmiri Pandit community and rehabilitate them as per their wishes and aspirations in the Kashmir valley.
