JAMMU, Sept 6: All India Jat Mahasabha (AIJMS), J&K has alleged that both Central and State Governments are continuously ignoring Jat community.
State president of the Jat Mahasabha Ch Manmohan Singh (Former Mayor – JMC) who paid vist to several villages of Tanda, Pantaal and Chajrath in Tehsild Marheen and Hiranagar in district Kathua today, addressed several biradari meetings and accessed the living conditions of the people from his community.
While interacting with the community, Ch Manmohan Singh said that Jat community is said to be the bravest since its existence and have always contributed in the making of Nation but different Govts at the Centre and the State have ignored this community in all fields.
He said this community is fighting since long for its rights, seeking one time settlement/ compensation and RBA status for people living along 8 Km of strip along Indo-Pak border. Govt must clarify that the Rs 5 lakh which is being given to the displaced persons of Indo-Pak wars, whether it is part payment of demanded one time settlement compensation of Rs 2500000 (Rs twenty five lakh) or something else.
The conditions of roads, electricity, schooling and health are very poor in the villages and hamlets of Jat community. None of the leaders whether MLA/MP who won with the votes of these faithful Jats and have not taken care of these people. They treat them as slaves. The president asked the biradari to get united to teach a lesson to these leaders who deceived them for the last 67 years. Try to elect your own candidates in the coming elections.
The president stressed upon the community to educate their children so that they can be able to face various challenges of life since only key to success is education.
