CEC’s concern over delay in COVID reports

KARGIL, June 15: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan has taken up the issue with regard to the delay in getting the test reports of the samples of suspected COVID cases of Kargil with the UT Administration.
Khan stated that the delay in timely receipt of sample results is creating confusion among the public, particularly those who are under institutional and home quarantine.
The CEC urged the UT Administration to take up the matter with NCDC authorities in New Delhi to get the backlogs cleared on priority.
Meanwhile, the CEC also released Rs 7 lakh, 1 lakh each in favour of all the Block Medical Officers of Kargil district out of Untied Grants in carrying out COVID-19 mitigation measures in their respective blocks in the district.
