LEH, Feb 3: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting today to discuss the action plan under the centrally sponsored Border Area Development Programme (BADP) scheme.
CPO Leh apprised the Chairman about various development works being carried out in Leh district under the BADP scheme till date. Gyalson expressed his gratitude to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for allocating such schemes towards developing the border areas of Ladakh. He also acknowledged the efforts of officials and executing agencies of the district in achieving maximum fund utilization from the annual allocated budget.
He further stressed on clearing liabilities and the need for proper verification of the works during action plans to prevent project duplicities. Gyalson instructed the concerned officials to form a proper verification and estimation of the projects in the BADP action plan.
DC Leh also instructed the executing agencies to follow proper guidelines while proposing projects under BADP. He added that schemes such as Parvat Mala under BADP will also be introduced.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor (EC) for Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor; Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; DC Leh Shrikant Suse; Councillors of border constituencies, Chushul, Konchok Stanzin; Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang; Councillor Hunder, Kunzang Lotus; Councillor Skurbuchan, Lundup Dorjai; IAS Probationer, Namgyal Angmo, CPO Leh, DSE PWD Leh, XEn R&B, ACD Leh, CEO Leh, and officials from PDD, PHE, and Mechanical Division Leh.
