LEH, July 27: CEC, LAHDC Gyal P Wangyal along with MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgial inspected the progress of undergoing work of sub way and motorable Choglamsar-Chuchot Bridge today.
At the sites CEC and MP enquired in detail about the progress of works and urged the concern X-en, Engineers and contractors to speed up the execution pace to ensure timely completion of the sub way and bridge for traffic movement.
X-en R&B apprised CEC and JTN that the sub way is being constructed under AMRUT and in next 5 days roofing work to connect the road will start. He informed that there will be ramp and stairs facilities to use the sub way and also five small shops under the sub way.
JTN instructed the engineers to ensure that there will be no water logging issues during rainy days in the sub way with proper drainage system and also to maintain local architect at the entrance of the sub way. CEC also suggested the engineers to have soak pit under the sub way for drainage purpose.
At Choglamsar, the concerned Engineer informed that within a week time launching of bridge will start with other required infrastructures being completed. CEC instructed them to complete the bridge in all respect ensuring high quality to be ready for vehicular movement by end October. JTN also stressed on the need to speed up the work to reduce the inconvenience caused to the public and meet the set timeline of completion of the bridge without further delay.
