LEH, Dec 12: The Hon’ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting at the Conference Hall of the Council Secretariat, LAHDC, Leh to discuss the Identification of Iteration 2 of Swadesh Darshan 2.0. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders from various sectors, including tourism, planning, and local administration, to deliberate on the development of tourism infrastructure in the region. The primary agenda of the meeting was to explore tourist-centric destinations under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 and to discuss the development of infrastructure aimed at enhancing the tourism potential of Ladakh. A detailed virtual presentation on the Igoo-Phey Canal Front Development was provided, highlighting the project’s potential to improve tourism infrastructure and contribute to regional development. During the discussions, CEC Gyalson suggested exploring the possibility of accommodating the incomplete Trans-Himalayas Cultural Centre project for completion under the scheme. Following the deliberations, it was decided to hold a follow up meeting to review the progress of the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 initiative and to refine the plans for further development.
