CDE program for dental surgeons held

JAMMU, Mar 5: Prof Rajesh Ahal and Dr Rahul Sharma held a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) program for the Dental Surgeons, here today.
The program was attended by over 25 prominent dental surgeons from different parts of Jammu City. The program was held to share latest advances, treatment concepts and clinical tips for Adjunctive Orthodontics as well as making the dental surgeon aware of detecting early clinical signs towards developing irregular teeth.
Dr Rahul Sharma, an orthodontist with over 10 years of clinical expertise shared the importance of Adjunctive Orthodontics in every day clinical practice and the importance of uprighting teeth and creating the adequate spaces before placing the crowns and bridges as well as dental implants. He also shared how the Adjunctive Orthodontics always allows the patient to chew food better and in the most comfortable way for a longer lifespan of the crown and bridges as well as dental implants, thus also allowing better aesthetics and smile.
Prof Rajesh Ahal, a Pediatric Dentist and Implantologist with over 30 years of clinical experience shared with the dental surgeons ways to detect problems early and how intercepting these problems in the age group of 6 to 8 years can help the child and also decrease chances of teeth extraction before braces as well as decrease the treatment time of braces.
Evidenced based clinical photographs with long term follow ups were shared to highlight healthier breathing patterns, no relapses, better arch and tongue movement development with good occlusion and enhanced aesthetics as well as smile. Moreover, these concepts also put less pressure on the child during the board exam years as the treatment is mostly finished before the same. The long term immensely positive outcomes of Adjunctive and Interceptive dental treatment was also highlighted.
