CCI, Bikers Club to organize peace rally up to Suchetgarh

JAMMU, Oct 9: Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu and  Bikers Brotherhood Motorcycle Club of India would jointly organize a peace rally from Jammu to Indo-Pak border at Suchetgarh on October 11.
Disclosing this to the media-persons here  today Rakesh Gupta, president Jammu Chamber said that to make the people of Jammu and Sialkot aware of the agony of border firing and spread a message of peace and harmony, a bikers peace rally is being organised from Bahu Plaza Jammu to R S Pura and Suchetgarh zero line on Sunday. This shall be flagged off  jointly by IGP Jammu Danish Rana, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh and CCI chief.
Mr Gupta pointed out that firing incidents on the Indo-Pak border are resulting in loss of property and precious human lives. He appealed to both the Governments of India and Pakistan to exercise restraint as many families are living on both sides of the border. He pleaded  to open the border on the pattern of Wagah in Amritsar and allow visa free tourism, Parade every evening by the BSF and also trade between the two countries via Suchetgarh.
President of the Bikers Brotherhood Motorcycle Club India, Jugraj Singh in his address said that this ride would send a strong message of peace on either sides of the fence and regenerate a hope amongst those separated during bloody partition of 1947. He further said that there were a number of families on both sides of the fence who had fond memories of pre-partition era and this proposed ride will help not only to remember the past but also kindle a hope of making these borders irrelevant one fine day. He also said that people to people connectivity between both sides of border and development of business which  will benefit both countries  is the only and permanent solution to end this bloodshed and tension at border.
