CCBL presents cheque to Advisor towards J&K Relief Fund

JAMMU, May 28: The Citizens’ Co-operative Bank Limited (CCBL) here today handed over a cheque of a day’s salary of the bank staff as contribution towards J&K Relief Fund to Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Khan.
The cheque was handed over to the Advisor by Chairman CCBL, Parveen Kumar Sharma in presence of Director CCBL, Sumant Singh Jamwal.
Advisor Khan appreciated the Bank’s contribution towards the Relief Fund and said such contributions would help to fight COVID-19 pandemic in Jammu and Kashmir.
Advisor was apprised that CCBL Jammu is the largest amongst four Urban Cooperative Banks in the Union Territory of J&K. The Bank is having 11 branches and 3 extension counters and is catering to the banking needs of people and extending credit to its members to fulfill their financial needs. Bank is computerized under Core Banking Solution and is extending all types of services to its clients.
On the occasion, the Management of the Bank also submitted a memorandum to the Advisor to consider and redress the issues pertaining to the bank including implementation of 97th Constitutional Amendment provisions in the J&K Cooperative Societies Act and contribution of share capital to the four Urban Cooperative Banks of Union Territory of J&K particularly The Citizens Cooperative Bank Limited Jammu to enable these banks to raise their equity to give them a level play field to compete with other banks in the union territory.
