JAMMU, Nov 17: During the on going celebrations of 61st Cooperative Week in the State, a function was organized by the Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd Jammu in its branch premises at R S Pura where Basharat Saleem, Registrar Cooperative Societies, J&K, was the chief guest.
The Registrar highlighted the role of employees at gross root level to uplift the cooperative institutions and exhorted the CCB management to extend hassle free services to their members. He also assured full cooperation and support to the societies for their further expansion and progress.
Earlier, Dinesh Gupta gave a brief of the working of cooperative sector and challenges being faced by this sector to sustain in this era of competition. He informed that all the branches of the CCB are fully computerized under CCB for providing hassle free services to the customers fulfilling their banking needs.
Dinesh Gupta further informed that during his tenure, the share capital of the bank has increased from Rs 5.40 crores to Rs 7.40 crores and its NPA has been decreased from Rs 32 crores to Rs 25 crores. He requested the Registrar Coop Societies to expedite the pending cases under Arbitration in different courts of the Cooperatives at an earliest.
The celebration started with the chief guest handing over keys of a Van and a Scooty, instantly financed by the Bank to Gurmeet Singh and Sunil Aggarwal in the presence of CCB Chairman Dinesh Gupta and others.
Deepak Gupta, Vice-Chairman CCB; Koushal Kumar Gupta, Director; Parshotam Singh Pawar, Director; Anjana Tikoo, Addl Registrar Cooperative Societies Jammu; Trishla Kumari, Joint Registrar Cooperative Societies (Special); Ashu Kumari, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies (LDB) and Tanveer Iqbal Malik, Joint Registrar (Audit) Cooperative Societies were also present on the occasion.
Proceedings of the function were conducted by Ashok Goswamy, Managing Director of the bank while Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Manager presented a welcome address.
