JAMMU, Dec 24: The National Conference-Congress Coordination Committee (CC) would meet here in the next few days to discuss reports of Ravinder Sharma and GA Mir Committees on 73rd Amendments and take a decision on quantum of reservation for SCs/STs and women in the elections for chairpersons of Block Development Councils (BDCs).
PCC (I) president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz told the Excelsior that the CC would meet in the next few days to take various issues, which would be on its agenda.
Prof Soz, who happened to be chairman of the CC is arriving here tomorrow.
Other members of the CC comprised Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma, both from Congress, Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather, Rural Development Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar and Choudhary Ramzan, all from National Conference.
The BDC elections were cancelled in October despite notification as some political parties had resented denial of reservations to SCs, STs and women in it.
