CB books hackers

JAMMU, Dec 16: Crime Branch Jammu has registered a case against hackers, who withdrew an amount of Rs 6 lakh from the account of one Ramesh Razdan.
According to the FIR, a written complaint lodged by M/s Ramesh Traders, Shop No. 15, Opp. ZPHQ, Palace Road through its Proprietor Ramesh Razdan, son of late Jagan Nath Razdan of Lower Laxmi Nagar, Sarwal was received in the Crime Branch wherein the complainant had alleged that some unknown persons had on September 26, 2014 withdrawn an amount of Rs 6 lakh through e-banking from his bank account No. 174 in J&K Bank Branch Chowk Chabutra as he received an SMS regarding the transaction.
It was further alleged that he immediately informed the bank through a written complaint and an e-mail but the bank expressed its inability and could not recover the money.
As the omissions and commissions on the part of some unknown persons constitute offices punishable under Sections 379, 120-B RPC read with Section 66, 66-C and 66-D of Information Technology Act, Crime Branch has registered a case for further investigation.
