JAMMU, July 9: The Crime Branch today arrested prominent businessman Chander Kant Ghulati, Proprietor of Tata Motors in connection with cheating case registered by the investigating agency.
Ghulati’s two sons, Sandeep Ghulati and Shailendra Ghulati are already in the jail in connection with the same case of cheating.
Sources said Chander Kant Ghulati was arrested today by a team of the Crime Branch during investigations of the case in which the Ghulatis had taken cash running into crores by a businessman for selling showroom.
However, they neither sold the showroom nor returned the cash to the party, leading to registration of a First Information Report (FIR) by the Crime Branch on the complaint of cheated businessman.
