SAMBA, June11: Police has worked out a cattle theft case registered in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, arrested thief and recovered stolen cattle from his possession.
Police said on Monday, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station (PS) Samba by one Kuldeep Kumar son of Shiv Lal of Deveka tehsil and district Samba regarding theft of his cattle from the cattle shed by some unknown persons.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 160/2024 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a police team of Police Post (PP) Goran (PS Samba) headed by in charge PP has rounded up one suspect namely Saif Din, son of Gulab Din of Chanoori tehsil and district Samba who upon sustained questioning, confessed his involvement in the instant case, police added.
Police said further on his disclosure, stolen cattle has been recovered. It is pertinent to mention here that the accused is a bovine lifter and used to supply the stolen cattle to the bovine smugglers.
