JAMMU, Aug 2: A woman was killed, while three others received injuries, when cattle shed collapsed due to heavy rains near Railway Line, Talli Morh, Miran Sahib, this morning.
As per reports, due to heavy rains, cattle shed at Railway Line, Talli Morh, Miran Sahib in the RS Pura Constituency collapsed resulting into death of a woman and injuries to three other persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to hospital, where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when reports last came in.
The deceased has been identified as Balwant Kour (45), wife of Jagjeet Singh, a resident of Railway Line Malikpur, while the injured have been identified as Jaswinder Kour (17), daughter of Ashok Singh, Inderjeet Kour (40), wife of Rashpaul Singh and Ashok Singh (52), son of Inder Singh, trio resident of Railway Line, Malikpur, Talli Morh, RS Pura.
Meanwhile, MLA RS Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat along with several workers and prominent persons of the locality rushed to the spot and directed the administration to render every possible aid to injured persons.
He instructed DC Jammu Simrandeep Singh to provide free treatment to the injured through Indian Red Cross Society. Dr Bhagat assured the family members of the deceased and injured persons that he will provide every possible help to them. He also directed BDO Miran Sahib to provide house under Pradhanmantri Aawas Yojna (PAY) to the family of Ashok Singh.
Among others present were Mandal Pradhan RS Pura Natharam, Ramesh Lal, Vinod Sharma, Hardev Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Bishan Dass, Tehsildaar RS Pura, SHO Miran Sahib, Inder Sudan, Manmohan Choudhary, etc.
