JAMMU, Sept 25: The protest of All Jammu Province Casual/Need Based Workers’ Union in support of their demands, entered into 35th day today.
The main demands of the union is release of monthly wages from Wages Head, regularization of workers who have completed seven years of service, insurance policy for workers and compensation to workers who lost their lives or become handicapped while performing their duties.
It was decided today by the union that a protest demonstration rally will be organized by the union from Green Belt Park to Divisional Commissioner Office, Panama Chowk, Jammu, on October 3 if the demands of the union are not accepted before October 2.
State president of the union, Akhil Sharma, Jammu Province president, Shesh Kumar, vice president, Sham Sharma, general secretary, Sanjeev and secretary, Sawar Khan, were present on the occasion.
