Cashew declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, June 25: Cashew prices fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists.
Sufficient stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts also weighed on the cashew prices.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices fell by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 835-845, Rs 735-745, Rs 615-645 and Rs 525-545 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said the fall in demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks led to the fall in cashew kernel prices.

Almond (California) Rs 18,200; Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,400-8,600; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,700-5,000; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 625-650 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg. (PTI)
