UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: A farmer was robbed off Rs 50 thousand, which he had withdrawn from the bank, here at Chenani today.
As per the complaint lodged with the Police Station Chenani, the victim namely Santosh Kumar, son Prem Nath, resident of Dhanas (Ghadian Khurd), Chenani, he withdrew Rs 50 thousands from his account in Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch in the town. He put the withdrawn cash in his bag and left the branch. However, after he came out the bank branch and opened the bag, the withdrawn cash was missing.
After receiving the complaint, the police noticed from footage of the CCTV installed in the bank that two persons standing near the victim had stolen money from the bag.
According to the SHO Chenani Om Parkash, CCTV footage is being analyzed to identify the suspects, who would be apprehended soon.
