Cash snatching case solved, Rs 6,50,000 recovered

KATHUA, Dec 29: Kathua police solved a snatching case which took place in Jandi Morh, Hiranagar and recovered Rs. 6,50000/- stolen cash the accused within 48 hours under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal.
Police said on the written complaint of Anil Sangral, Branch Head of JK Grameen Bank, Sherpur, Hiranagar on December 27 that unarmed guard of Bank Mohit Singh was deputed to deposit a cash amounting to Rs. 6,50000 at J&K Bank Branch Hirangar Morh and when he reached at Bassi -Jamwal near Jandi Morh on his motorcycle which according to statement of guard had been hit by three miscreants who were coming from back side on a motorcycle and snatched a bag containing an amount of Rs. 650000/-.
To investigate the matter SSP Kathua constituted a special team led by Inspector, Yash Paul Sharma, SHO Police Station, Hiranagar to nab the miscreants involved in the instant case. Today the police team succeeded in recovering the whole amount of Rs. 650000/- from Mohit Singh (Bank Guard) son of Kuldeep Singh of Sial tehsil, Rajpura district Samba.
During investigation, it surfaced that unarmed guard of the Bank Mohit Singh had told a false story to the Manager of the Bank regarding this stolen money.
