Cash filled ATM stolen

SRINAGAR, June 13: In a third incident of its kind, robbers in South Kashmir’s Pampore town of Pulwama district decamped with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) that was containing cash worth lakhs.

Sources said that unidentified robbers during night hours barged into an ATM of the HDFC Bank at Pampore town and decamped with the machine that was containing Rs 5 lakh. It was not immediately clear whether robbers were armed or not but this is the third incident of its kind in South Kashmir.
Earlier also, the robbers decamped with ATM machines at Anantnag district twice. The robbers in North Kashmir’s Handwara also recently decamped with Rs 16 lakh cash from an ATM. Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and launched a manhunt to nab the robbers.
