REASI, Apr 30: District administration in association with India Post has started making doorstep cash payment to MGNREGA workers of the district. The move is aimed at to maintain social distancing and to ease crowd at banks.
Under the initiative, a representative from local post office will reached out to the local MGNREGA workers and hands over cash after verification of their Aadhaar linked bank account through a mobile application.
In first day of the initiative, an amount of Rs 82700, through 39 transactions all over the district has already been disbursed through six post offices.
