SRINAGAR, July 17: Three persons including a girl lost their lives in separate incidents across Kashmir valley.
A police spokesman said that a carpenter namely Ghulam Nabi Dar son of Abdul Ahad resident of Bogund fell from the rooftop while he was working in the house of Bashir Ahmad Naik son of Gani Naik resident of Nagbal-Pehloo, Kulgam. He received severe injuries and was shifted to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The spokesman said that a mentally retarded boy namely Himayoun Khan aged 18 years son of Habib Khan, resident of Cherward Lohar, Sanzi-Kokernag, was drowned in Nallah Dudkul near his house. The body was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites.
He said a girl namely Srifa Jan aged 17 years daughter of Abdul Razak Rather resident of Rather Mohalla, Damhal Hanji Pora fell into a Nallah while walking over a footbridge near Rather Mohalla. The body of the drowned girl was fished out and handed over to her relatives. A case has been registered in this regard.
