REASI, July 17: A Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrim was killed after he was hit by a tractor trolley in Katra town today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the pilgrim after performing darshan was moving along Katra-Panthal road in Katra town. A tractor trolley bearing registration No. JK-14/ 5133 hit the pilgrim. Many people gathered there after mishap and the driver stopped trolley at some distance and ran away from the spot.
The injured was rushed to hospital where he was declared as dead. The deceased has been identified as Mohan Lal Gurjar, son of Bhagwan Shah, resident of Virat Nagar, Rajasthan. The police registered a case and seized the tractor-trolley.
