NEW DELHI, May 10: Cardamom prices slipped by 0.44 per cent to Rs 788.20 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June month fell by Rs 3.70, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 788.20 per kg in business turnover of 133 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in the May contract traded lower by Rs 2.20, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 767 per kg in 71 lots.
Market analysts profit-booking at prevailing higher levels by speculators and sluggish demand in the spot market, mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
