Cardamom futures fall 0.93% on profit-booking

NEW DELHI, Aug 7:  Cardamom fell 0.93 per cent to Rs 770 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid subdued demand at the spot market.
Further, ample stocks in the physical market following increased arrivals from major producing belts too weighed on cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August declined Rs 7.30, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 770 per kg in a business turnover of 7 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in September shed Rs 4.90, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 782 per kg with trading volume of 60 lots.
Market analysts said profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels and subdued demand at the spot market mainly kept pressure on the cardamom prices in futures trade. (PTI)
