NEW DELHI, Feb 28: Cardamom prices declined by 0.66 per cent to Rs 832.00 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April declined by Rs 5.50, or 0.66 per cent to Rs 832.00 per kg in business turnover of 90 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in March contract shed Rs 4.50, or 0.56 per cent to Rs 802.50 per kg in 266 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels, driven by sluggish demand in spot market mainly led to decline in cardamom prices at futures trade. (AGENCIES)
